Since establishing River Road Animal Hospital in January, 2007 Doctor Travis has endeavored to make it the premiere animal hospital in the area.  We know that conscientious pet owners demand only the best for their pets.  We have assembled a dedicated, compassionate team of veterinary professionals eager to serve you and your pet.  Our staff strives for excellence in customer service, education, and care of your pet.  We know how important pets are to people and what a huge role they play in your life.  We will do everything in our power to make your experience as pleasant as possible and provide only the very best animal health care services for all your furry, feathered, and scaled family members.

We are a full-service, modern animal hospital.   We offer cutting edge treatment options.  We are in a continual process of improvement.  Since our inception we have added in-house digital radiology, ultrasound, endoscopy, and therapeutic laser.  We work with local specialists in endoscopy, advanced cardiac and abdominal ultrasound… all made available in-hospital, usually within 24-hours and all without having to drive to Wilmington.  For the cases that demand only the expertise that a board-certified specialist can provide, we routinely refer specialty services including, but not limited to:

We utilize laboratories from around the country and refer on a routine basis to top notch facilities such as the North Carolina State – College of Veterinary Medicine teaching hospital in Cary, NC and we have the only University of Pennsylvania Hip Improvement Program (Penn-HIP) certified veterinarian in Brunswick County.  We are willing to do whatever it takes to ensure that everything that can be done will be done for you pet.
